Begbie Canadian History Contest Society

The Begbie Contest Society is a nonprofit society run on a volunteer basis by retired high school teachers. The society’s main goals are to promote Canadian history, to challenge students to think critically about historical problems, and to make available a wide variety of interesting primary sources. To this end, the society produces an annual Canadian history contest for secondary students which is designed to test critical thinking, and awards cash prizes, medallions, and certificates of participation.
